Taylor Morrison is on a mission to increase town homes

With over 850 units in the pipeline, the company is helping alleviate the housing crisis

Taylor Morrison Home Corporation is placing greater emphasis on town homes as it looks to become an even bigger player in Charlotte’s residential real estate space, according to Charlotte Business Journal.

As more buyers opt for lower-maintenance communities and more affordable options, the Arizona-based builder is taking advantage of a boom in town home construction.

Taylor Morrison joined the local market in mid-2015 through acquisition, after purchasing the Charlotte, Raleigh, and Chicago divisions of Orleans Homes for approximately $166 million.

Andrew Bodary, the company’s Charlotte Division President, has stated that the publicly traded builder has a strategy for aggressive growth in the area.

The homebuilder is actively selling approximately 200 town homes in Hudson Oaks and Terraces at Farmington, with an additional 651 town homes in the works across five more projects set to open by early 2024.

This growth plan is to curb the housing crisis currently taking root across the US.
