PulteGroup Expands Scholarship to Build the Future of Homebuilding

PulteGroup has announced the expansion of its Build Your Future scholarship program with a $100,000 investment, in partnership with The SkillPointe Foundation. This initiative, launched last month, supports individuals from diverse backgrounds pursuing careers in residential homebuilding and technology.

75th Anniversary Expansion

In honor of its 75th anniversary, PulteGroup is enhancing its commitment by awarding 20 scholarships. These will be equally divided between students pursuing university degrees in construction-related fields and those training for careers in the skilled trades. This expansion reflects PulteGroup’s mission of creating thriving communities and addressing the talent gap in the homebuilding industry.

“Building quality homes requires exceptional talent, and we’re committed to creating educational pathways for the next generation of homebuilding professionals,” said Kyle Walters, Vice President of Talent Attraction & Acquisition at PulteGroup. “Our industry faces both a skilled trades gap and misconceptions about careers in homebuilding. Programs like Build Your Future and our Framing Your Future internships are breaking down these barriers. We’re investing in diverse talent, from future business leaders to skilled tradespeople, because every role is crucial to building America’s homes.”

SkillPointe Foundation Partnership

The scholarship program will be managed by the Atlanta-based SkillPointe Foundation, known for overseeing similar initiatives for major organizations such as The Home Depot Foundation, 3M, Schneider Electric, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

“PulteGroup and the SkillPointe Foundation share a deep commitment to bridging the skills gap and building tomorrow’s workforce,” said Alvin Townley, founding executive director of the SkillPointe Foundation. “We are honored to help prepare the leaders and workers who will build the new homes that many Americans need.”
