CroweBuilt Homes turns every detail into a custom signature

With a year having already passed since we last caught up with Atlanta-based CroweBuilt Homes, President Evan Crowe joins Modern Home Builders again, to share some key developments over the past 12 months: “We mostly build client-driven custom homes where all the details are determined through homeowner, designer, and architect collaboration. There are two homes that really stand out that were completed in 2024. One was a bigger home around 11,500 square feet. The home is an entertainer’s paradise home which was a joy to build. The other was on a big 300-acre property. The house was an old metal building that we turned into an awesome 3,000-square-foot vacation home. Both of these projects pushed the limits on design in every aspect.

You have to keep track of the details to ensure that they all work well together. For instance, on the older building, which was essentially a total renovation, it was challenging trying to take the designer’s intent and make it work with this existing structure. While every project is unique and no two homes are the same, the process always involves having to find creative solutions when translating the designer and architect’s work into physical form.”

Evan then reflects on the factors that differentiate CroweBuilt Homes from its competition: “Our hands-on approach is definitely a major influence. We treat every client like family. You can hire a bigger company where you’re just dealing with a cog in the wheel, and you may just be another number for them. But for us, we want to really build that relationship and trust up front. We truly guide our clients through the process, making sure that there is always an emotional connection so they can tell that we’re on the journey with them. With every client, it’s generally their largest investment and their dream home; it’s their one-time, whereas for us, we do this every single day, so it’s important to convey that each home is truly special to us. Our client care is definitely one of the elements that separates us.” a modern staircase

Customer care is critical, but sustaining positive relationships with designers and architects has also been a key component of CroweBuilt Homes’ success. Evan describes the approach the company takes: “I think being a team player and respecting each professional for what they do is crucial. The design team may have a grand idea and it may not work perfectly with what we have on site, so we make sure that we understand their intentions and that we communicate openly with them, providing them with all the information they need to find a solution and make that final decision. We each have that same respect, and we each communicate with the client so that we are all on the same page, working together to serve the homeowner.

“It’s about pulling in the same direction and not blaming anyone for mistakes, or second-guessing choices or motivations. Instead, we work together for the client. We make all our decisions with the client’s best interests at heart, with all of us pushing towards the same goal. I think that’s the biggest factor.”

Evan concludes by outlining the company’s goals for the rest of the year and beyond: “We have some amazing custom homes underway and more in the pipeline to get started in the remainder of 2025. In the longer term, we plan to keep serving our clients well and continue building relationships with architects and designers. Generally, they bring the best projects. Many homeowners will start with an architect they know they want to work with and look for their recommendation on a builder they trust. Continuing to network and grow our connections is very important and showing architects and designers how we work and what we can deliver is also very rewarding.

“Going forward, that’s one of the biggest goals, to keep working seamlessly with great teams to deliver amazing homes; to keep doing the right thing. We will continue serving our clients and continue building on our strong reputation.”
