Community outreach and innovative designs ensure continued growth for InHance

Growing up around construction sites and model homes, InHance Founder, Bre Hance, has home building in her blood. Her father was a painting and drywall contractor while her mother was a project manager. Gaining an early understanding of the complex processes involved in building homes later proved indispensable to her business. After pursuing a D1 college athletic career, Bre founded the business in 2014 as a one-woman operation. Initially, InHance designed interiors exclusively for Avenue Homes, a Los Angeles real estate investment firm owned by Bre’s husband. After seeing the success of this collaboration and the benefits of a wrap-around service that includes design, build and management, the business pivoted towards a more holistic offering open to private clients.

1531 Glenavon AveBre outlines the company’s approach: “At InHance we are a one-stop solution that offers both construction and interior design, which allows us to provide a unique set of services to the right clients. Our mission is to help our clients overcome challenges that can be overwhelming, so they can enjoy a process that should be fun and exciting!”

Elevated everyday living

Expanding on what this looks like in practice, Bre describes one of the company’s newly completed projects: “We just finished the design and build of a beautiful modern family home! Interestingly the home was for an architect, who designed his own house, and it was the first time we had experienced this dynamic. It was such a creative and collaborative process, bouncing ideas back and forth the whole way through. The house has so many beautiful design features from slabs, patterns, wall treatments, and more. It feels homey while incorporating unique and personalized elements. It really is elevated everyday living at its finest!”

Bre continues, giving an example of another recent project. “We have also just completed a family home in Beverlywood that has it all. This family was very into design, understood it, and cared a lot about every single detail. They had a lot of say in the design choices including colorful wall treatments, herringbone floors, moody built-ins, fun tiles, and bespoke lighting.

“We love this level of client engagement; it’s not always possible, but it’s fun to work together to make our clients’ dream homes completely personalized to their unique tastes and requirements.”

Expanding operations

This year, the business celebrates its tenth anniversary. Reflecting on the journey Bre jests, “where did time go? When I think about everything that has happened over ten years, it feels like 40! As we all know though, nothing good comes easy. There have been many highs and lows along the way. There was a learning curve in the beginning, having to overcome various challenges such as with personnel or clients. But I am incredibly proud of how far we have come and what we have achieved. I absolutely love what I do. It’s an honor to be able to design spaces that people and families can enjoy and build memories in. It is more than just a job to me.”

Bre attributes some of InHance’s success to the strength and depth of their team. “As a captain on sports teams and now a leader of a company, I curate a bad-ass team. So, we have the best of the best to handle their respective positions. It takes a team to achieve what we do!”

Looking forward to the remainder of 2024, Bre adds, “we have several projects I’m excited about, all over Los Angeles and South Bay. I love every client we bring on and we’ll enjoy building their beautiful homes as much as our clients will love living in them.”

Further afield, the business is looking to consolidate and build upon brand awareness and expand operations both in greater Los Angeles as well as across the country.

Community commitment

Furthermore, working on luxurious custom projects has helped InHance stay ahead of market trends such as emergent materials, finishes or bespoke design pieces. Being able to produce at volume also means the company has built efficiencies into the design and construction processes. The benefits of this approach are passed on to private clients who experience a well-oiled process that has been honed over a decade of successfully designing and outfitting over 200 homes across Los Angeles and beyond.

This depth of expertise coupled with a flexible all-around service means InHance can cater to whatever a client’s needs may be, whether interior design is required or a full design and build or furnishings and decor. The business has also expanded its reach beyond Los Angeles, offering its interior design offerings including furnishings and décor to customers across the nation.

InHance is dedicated to bettering the Los Angeles community not just through building beautiful homes for people to make memories and raise families in, but also through its philanthropic activities. The company supports projects like Miracles for Kids who work to help improve the lives of families of children who are battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

Over the last decade, Bre has grown InHance from a one-person operation to an expert team that delivers over a dozen bespoke homes in the greater Los Angeles area every year. Able to carefully craft every element of the home in a totally personalized process, the business has become a complete one-stop shop.
