Bringing expertise, creativity, and a personal touch to every project, The Eck Group crafts one-of-a-kind spaces
Husband and wife duo, Jeremy and Lydia Eck, have been turning property dreams into reality for over a decade. As a quality custom homebuilder, The Eck Group has seen a steady stream of successes since its inception over ten years ago, as Jeremy himself begins: “The Eck Group started building in 2014. Up until that point, I had primarily worked as a realtor and business owner in a different industry. After a while it became clear that a lot of our clients couldn’t find the homes they were looking for. Housing shortages have been a concern across the US for some time and given that we had previously built several of our own homes, we decided to branch out into construction.
“We started out by building homes for some of our long-term clients, and from there we also completed a number of spec homes. The business has since evolved into building high-end custom homes, as well as major remodels to bring existing homes up to today’s style and trends.

“I enjoy working with clients from the very beginning – even before they have building plans – so we can achieve exactly what they want. I work closely with our draftsman and interior designers to incorporate the clients desires into all the elements of their home.”
People-first approach
Building The Eck Group has been a lifelong journey for Jeremy and Lydia, as he reveals: “I started a lawn mowing business when I was a teenager and developed it into a successful full-service landscaping company over the next 16 years. Desiring a career change, I sold that business and became a realtor, before diversifying into home building. My grandfather was a home builder, and my dad worked alongside him, so I think building was in my blood.
“My wife then joined the business in 2014. She is now in charge of our realty division, helping clients find homes within our portfolio that suit their specific needs. She’s well-known in the industry and we’re lucky to have her on board.”
A people-first approach allows The Eck Group to put its best foot forward every time. Collaboration is central to the company’s success, as Jeremy confirms: “The key to building any custom home is teamwork. From the home draftsman that helps us create the unique floor plans, to the designers that incorporate all the custom features, to our employees and subcontractors that are on the job site day in and day out – everyone has a vital part to play. It is important to us that everyone on board recognizes and understands the big picture and delivers on the dreams of our clients.”
Unique styling
With over a decade of success under his belt, Jeremy discusses some of the company’s landmark projects: “One of my favorite builds must be Pasatiempo. My clients wanted a modern, open design like they had seen in Naples, Florida. Working with a draftsman and designer, we developed the look they were going for. The home has a wall of hidden pocketing doors that open the kitchen and living spaces to the expansive outdoor patio and custom pool area – creating a seamless flow of entertaining space.
“Another major project for us was Wisteria 13. In this case, the homeowners wanted a new home, incorporating clean, straight modern lines along with a livable family atmosphere. It was important to combine wood, stone and metal accents into their design features. The wallpaper and custom wood wall accents help to add unique characteristics, which make this home stand out from any other,” he adds.
Stepping confidently into 2025, The Eck Group gears up for new challenges. As Jeremy discusses: “Being a custom-home builder, we have several new projects coming up that have varying modern and transitional styles. Before designs are drawn up, we like to sit down with our clients and discover what their vision is for their dream home.
“We look for little details and characteristics, as well as elements of the client’s lifestyle that we can incorporate into the home. Further down the line, we pass our insights on to our amazing team of interior designers, who help make final decisions about how the client’s unique style can be applied to the space.
“We’re going to be working on some interesting concepts this year, and I’m excited to get started. In many of our recent projects, we’ve been integrating more automated elements. We can now offer our clients access to app-based home audio, security, and lighting systems – and we’ll be looking to continue integrating this kind of technology in future projects.”
Looking even further ahead, Jeremy considers the long-term future of The Eck Group: “We want to continue building forever homes! Forging strong relationships with our clients is of absolute importance to us; the people we work with become a part of our family. Even as the business changes over time, I like to think that will always stay the same,” he concludes.
