Each home experience crafted by the company is unique and tailor-made to meet the specific needs of every customer, ensuring that every detail is customized. Bravas prioritizes working collaboratively with trade partners and homeowners, from concept to completion, to design a life-enhancing experience within the home.

Chief Executive Officer, Mark Goldman, joins Modern Home Builders for an exclusive interview to discuss the latest developments at Bravas. “Bravas has been in business in its current form for six years. The company was founded in 2019 through the merger of 15 independent custom integrators, with four additional acquisitions since. This has resulted in a consolidation of 19 businesses now functioning under one entity: Bravas. For the first five years, these businesses came together and operated under the Bravas brand but largely remained a collection of independent entities with their own sales strategies and operations. Over the past 12 months, we have focused on integrating these entities into a cohesive company that operates as one unified organization across the country. Last year, we conducted business in 45 of the 50 states in the US, establishing ourselves as a truly national provider. We have also made ongoing efforts to streamline operations and achieve the scale necessary to support this expansive reach,” he begins.

Close collaborations

Being a national home solutions provider comes with a distinct competitive advantage, as Mark explains. “At the national level, our Signature team manages large-scale projects, generally exceeding $1 million. However, we also maintain a local presence, allowing us to enjoy the best of both worlds: the ability to execute sizeable projects nationally while reaping the benefits of local operations in 13 different markets across the country. This offers several benefits. For example, we are increasingly working with homeowners who own multiple properties and would rather work with a single provider to ensure consistency in setting up and maintaining their homes to the level they are accustomed to. Bravas is one of few companies that are uniquely suited to meet the exact needs of these homeowners.”

Bravas prides itself on these close collaborations with homeowners, with a focus on the best solutions for how they want to live and enjoy their home, rather than concentrating on products. This Home Experience Design approach sets Bravas apart from other integrators.

“Another Bravas advantage is our strong team,” Mark continues. “This business has become incredibly complex. Indeed, our company is no longer solely focused on installing audio and video solutions in people’s homes. We now integrate critical infrastructure that controls lighting, shades, security systems, climate control, power systems, and more. The level of complexity that is required to be able to manage these systems is far greater than what our businesses dealt with in the past. By creating this national-scale company, we have been able to consolidate and build the premier design team in the industry. This team understands these solutions and how they need to be designed and implemented, with an emphasis on early-phase collaboration, not only for current client needs but also with an eye toward where these needs will change in the future. Technology is constantly evolving and these days, we cannot simply build systems that only address today’s requirements; we need to anticipate where the market is heading before designing them. As a result, we place a strong emphasis on investing in our design capabilities and our teams to ensure we can architect these solutions effectively,” he adds.

Additionally, Bravas offers its proprietary Curated Solutions. Designed as flexible starting points, these packages combine foundational technologies with tailored enhancements, making it easy for customers to select the perfect solution for their lifestyle. Whether customers require seamless entertainment, enhanced security, or wellness-inspired living, Bravas’ solutions adapt to and grow alongside customer requirements.

Lifetime relationships a modern, open-concept kitchen and living area

The company further enhances this offering by providing unmatched post-installation support. “For us, it is not just about designing and installing a system in somebody’s home and then moving on to the next project. Instead, we invest in ongoing service and support after installation. Today’s environment demands a focus on building a lifetime relationship with the home and homeowner because this technology is evolving and needs to be regularly serviced, maintained, and upgraded. As such, it is crucial for us to develop the ability to work continuously with our clients to ensure their systems function optimally by providing the high level of service quality our customers expect. This can be challenging when operating solely on a local level but with our significant size and national presence, it becomes much easier to invest in and achieve this level of support. For example, we can set up a national team to handle client calls, troubleshoot their issues, and often resolve problems remotely. We can address many of our customers’ concerns through these activities, and when remote solutions aren’t effective, we have the resources, both locally and nationally, to send a technician to resolve issues as needed,” Mark enlightens.

The success of Bravas’ operations across the country is largely dependent on the skills of its national team. To ensure its team members excel in delivering and installing its solutions, the company places a strong emphasis on training, as Mark reveals. “We have developed a robust platform known as Bravas University, which I believe is the industry’s leading training program. This platform is an incredibly important part of our business because we cannot simply train people once, put them into the field right away, and expect them to be able to effectively install our solutions for months or years into the future. The evolving demands of our industry require us to provide ongoing training for our technicians, project managers, and executives to ensure they remain highly informed professionals handling these complex solutions.

“Creating such a comprehensive training platform and integrating it with manufacturers, as we have, would be virtually impossible for a company operating solely at the local level. Bravas has the scale and the resources to not only invest in this initiative but also to allow our technicians to step away from the field to dedicate time to training and continuous development and learning. This commitment is essential to us, given the increasing sophistication of our business landscape. This evolving expertise, combined with collaborative trade partner relationships and the support of our vendor partners, such as Snap One, Savant, and Bright Vault, ensures we can deliver truly bespoke solutions,” he ends.

Bravas’ unparalleled national reach, superior training program, and relentless focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences cement its status as an industry leader. Bravas takes technology way beyond smart home automation – it creates pure harmony.
